Caring in Our Community

Aid For Friends mission is to serve meals to needy, isolated shut-ins in the 5 County Greater Philadelphia area.  St. Paul’s vacation Bible School and Church families donate breakfast items each year during the week of Vacation Bible School.  The VBS children fill bags with the donated items and present the breakfast bags to an Aid For Friends representative on the last night of VBS.  We have assembled over 300 bags in the last 2 years.

Tabor Home Services:  Each year St. Paul’s sponsors a Tabor Home Angel Tree for the Christmas holiday.  Each angel on the tree represents a child or young adult’s Christmas wish.  St. Paul’s families choose an angel and buy the gift which is delivered to Tabor Home in Doylestown.

Homeless Project Philadelphia: is a new mission which began in 2012.  Winter coats, sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves were donated and delivered to the homeless who gather in a park in Philadelphia.  We also distribute personal care bags to a homeless shelter in Philadelphia.

Prayer Shawls: When a member is ill, in the hospital, suffering a loss, they will receive an individually knitted or crocheted prayer shawl so they experience the warmth and support of the congregation.
